About Althea

Bio
Althea Neustaedter, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, has built a distinguished career in the arts through her extensive education and professional experience. She holds a BA in Illustration from the California College of the Arts and Crafts (CCA) and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art University. Althea's educational journey also includes specialized studies in landscape painting and Art History at the Art Academy in Florence, Italy. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts, further demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence in her field.
Althea serves as an Assistant Professor of Art at Southern Utah University, where she applies her rich educational background to inspire and guide students. Beyond her academic role, she is a passionate art advocate, dedicated to promoting art awareness in schools. Althea's unique blend of formal education, international experience, and ongoing scholarly pursuits positions her as a valuable contributor to both the academic and practical realms of the visual arts.
